Community Commitment In Supporting The Waste From Home Movement (Case Study Of Umban Sari Kelurahan)
Abstract
The presence of a waste bank as a way to help overcome the problem of waste from the source, namely homes, offices and markets, but this role is still not seen as significant, therefore research is needed to see the perceptions of the community about the existence of waste banks. As of 2022, there are 5 main waste banks, namely the Unilak Garbage Bank, Hijau Lestari Terus, Dalang Collection, Tuan Dibangarna and Berkah Abadi. The existence of a waste bank is expected to be able to handle waste from home and help reduce waste to the Final Disposal Site (TPA), but there is still a lack of community involvement in wanting to save and sell their waste to the waste bank because they prefer to dispose of waste with garbage pick-ups. Of the 121 samples taken using the stratified random sampling method, the community actually wants to be actively involved because it logically provides additional income. sustainable and also the waste savings can be taken periodically.
