Study Of The Amount Of Economic Growth And Added Value Created By Grass-Farmed Fishermen Wakatobi District Sea
Abstract
The reason for this research was to find out the magnitude of the influence of
government policies on turnover and added value of the invention of fishers in the
Wakatobi Regency and wanted to formulate policy recommendations so that seaweed
cultivation would be sustainable. The objectives to be achieved were; 1) assessing the
effect of the economic empowerment policy of coastal communities on the amount of
turnover and value-added by the creation of seaweed fishers of the Euchema
Spinosum type in each seaweed cluster of Wakatobi Regency; 2) assessing the effect of
the economic empowerment policy of coastal communities on the magnitude of
turnover and value-added created by seaweed fishermen of the Euchema Cottonii in
each seaweed cluster of Wakatobi District; 3) reviewing policy recommendations to
support the development of Euchema Spinosum seaweed business, and Euchema
Cottonii seaweed in each Wakatobi District seaweed cluster. The method used in this
study was a survey method. The study results obtained were the amount of turnover
obtained by seaweed fishermen of Euchema Spinosum in the Wakatobi Regency was
IDR 4,780,475,000/harvest with an added value of IDR 3,240,615,000/harvest.
Furthermore, the turnover amount of Euchema Cottonii farmers was IDR
900,480,000/harvest with an added value of IDR 692,302,500/harvest.
In conclusion, the influence of central and regional government policies can create a
turnover of Euchema Spinosum seaweed fishers in the Wakatobi District amounted to
IDR 4,780,475,000/ harvest with an added value of IDR 3,240,615,000 / harvest. For the
turnover of Euchema Cottonii farmers, the Wakatobi District was IDR 900,480,000 /
harvest with an added value of IDR 692,302,500 / harvest. Policy recommendations, the
Wakatobi District Government, needs to program capital subsidy assistance to seaweed
farmers through related agencies, and program the marketing system of seaweed
commodities with the seaweed industry on the inter-island market or the inter-state
market, so that an increase in production volume, and increase fishermen income, and
increasing regional economic growth.
