Factors Affecting The Competence Of Government Apparatus In The City Of Solok
Abstract
The competence of the government apparatus still needs to be improved in carrying out the main tasks and functions to produce excellent apparatus performance. This study aims to determine the factors that affect the competence of government officials in Solok City. This research uses the descriptive qualitative method. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, the informant was the head of the division, sub-section, and all staff in the scope of development administration assistant. The results of the study concluded that the factors that affect the competence of government officials consist of skills, experience, personal characteristics, motivation, and intellectual abilities. This is very much needed in supporting the implementation of the duties and functions of the government apparatus in developing the resources of the government apparatus.
