The Impact of Palm Oil Company PT. Nusaina Group on the Socio-Economic Conditions of The People of Kobi Country, North Seram Timur Kobi District, Central Maluku Regency
Abstract
This study aims to determine the impact of the existence of PT. Nusaina Group on the Social and Economic Conditions of the Community in Kobi Country, North Seram Timur Kobi District, Central Maluku Regency. Data analysis using quantitative description and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Purposive sampling method is carried out intentionally (Purposive sampling). The sample size selected was taken from 25 people of Kobi State, North East Seram District, Central Maluku Regency who worked for the palm oil company PT. Nusaina Group. The results of the study found that the company had a positive impact on the people of Kobi Country in general. People who work for the company PT. Nusaina Group in this case is that respondents in this study on average gave a good response because they felt an improvement in living standards based on the aspects that have been researched and described above compared to before they worked for the company. Then this is also felt by the people of Kobi Country who do not work for the company because they still get the impact of the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program from the company PT. Nusaina Group, although this does not look significant, it can be said that the people of Kobi Country are at least more prosperous than before the presence of the company.
